Recognizing the Hawks Inn as a place of significant historical and cultural interest and educational opportunity, it shall be the mission of the Hawks Inn Historical Society to:

• Preserve the Inn in its curatorial state (approximately 1845-1865) in order that visitors can better understand the time and culture in which it flourished.
• Maximize the educational opportunities offered by the Inn by attracting visitors through a well maintained Delafield History Center and such events as the society may deem in keeping with the historical character of the Inn.
• Raise such funds as necessary to advance the mission of the Society in a manner consistent with the historical character of the Inn.
